Anodizing involves suspending parts via a “rack.” This will leave marks on your part where anodizing wasn’t possible. If there are areas on which you can’t accept “rack” marks, please remember to include a technical drawing indicating these areas.
Anodizing insulates your parts, reducing their conductivity.
The maximum size for our facility must not exceed 23".
The minimum size for our facility should not be smaller than .15" (4mm),
however we recommend having racking holes at least .15-.30" (4-8mm) in size.
A design review will be conducted to ensure dimensional accuracy.
Another factor to keep in mind is that the geometric dimensions and tolerances of your part may change with anodization. Anodizing builds up a layer on the part, so remember that when you’re in the design process. As well, anodizing will affect the surface roughness of your part.
